Leonid Vorobyev, MD
Dr. Vorobyev is originally from Moscow, Russia but now calls New York home. He is a fourth generation doctor and knew since childhood that he would become a doctor. “Since childhood, I remember reviewing books of the brain and the central nervous system,” he recalls. “My choice of medicine came from believing that brain function is magical, mysterious, and has unlimited resources.” He adds.
Dr. Vorobyev received his medical degree from Moscow Medical University, and finished a residency in Neurology in Russia. After arriving in the US, Dr. Vorobyev completed a psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. In addition to being a Medical Doctor, Dr. Vorobyev is trained in classical Ericksonian hypnosis, medical acupuncture, and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Along with working with patients, the doctor works with attorneys in his community to prepare evaluations for immigration cases, specifically evaluating people seeking asylum in the United States for political persecution and abuse.
